The Drum Census is all about showcasing independent agencies in our industry. This year 245 agencies took part, representing a whopping £1.5bn turnover and 11,000 employees. Each agency is ranked on three measures of success: financial performance, client satisfaction and peer recommendations; the 10 best agencies across all three are then re-ranked in what’s called the Elite table.
Synergy has steamed into this Elite table for 2015, taking eighth place in the 1-25 employees group. It’s a huge pat on the back not just from the industry but, more importantly, from our clients.

The story behind the census
This year 245 agencies took part in the Drum census across the UK, representing £1.5 bn turnover and 11,000 employees.
The Financial rankings: These are based on six measures including turnover, growth, and gross profit.
The Client rankings: Carried out in partnership with the Recommended Agency Register, clients rank their agency’s service, creativity & innovation, effectiveness, strategic thinking, value and budget.
The Peer rankings: These voted for by via the Drum website – over 2,800 people voted this year.
The Elite rankings:
The Elite table recognises agencies with consistent performance across their specific size groups. Agencies must place in all three tables (financial, client & peer) to be eligible. They are then ranked and the top ten are then re-ranked separately against one another in order to create the final elite table.
