We brought a family of companies closer together

Aster provides homes and housing related services to more than 40,000 customers in central southern and south west England. The Group’s companies have assets in excess of £570 million and an annual turnover of over £81 million employing around 1,000 people.
The brief
To take the individual businesses within the Group - three housing associations, a property maintenance company, care group and new homes development company - and bring them together to form a cohesive and consistent family brand.
How we tackled it
Our strategy and planning included a focus group to uncover perceptions of the new homes aspect of the brand. We went on to create a new family brand identity, as well as logos for each company, a new design style for their marketing collateral, full design guidelines and literature suite.
The outcome
A distinct, refreshing brand which reflects the family of companies that sit under the Aster name, and clarifies their differentiation.
